ABOUT THE EVENT

When: Every Tuesday July 7 through Aug. 11
Where: Meets at tour name location unless otherwise noted.
What: Our adult programming series this summer focuses explores Aspen through tours on foot. History is all around us and these tours will show off some of the hidden gems that we may walk past every day. Dogs are welcome.

Time Travel “Tours”day:

5:30 p.m., $10 or free for Lixiviator members

July 7 – History Hidden In Plain Sight Tour. Explore the history that’s right around us, everyday.
Meet at the Aspen Fire Station (420 E. Hopkins Ave.) and ends at Gondola Plaza.

July 14 – Red Butte Cemetery Tour. Meet the “ghosts” of Aspen’s storied past.
Meets at 808 Cemetery Lane.

July 21 – West End Walking Tour
Meets at Wheeler/Stallard Museum (620 W. Bleeker St.)

July 28 – East End Walking Tour.
East End starts at Herron Park and ends at Glory Hole Park

Aug. 4 – Aspen Grove Cemetery Tour
Meets at Aspen Grove Cemetery on Aspen Grove Lane.

Aug. 11 – Statues of Aspen Tour
Meets at John Denver Sanctuary in Rio Grande Park.

Okay, we’re biased!  But really folks, this original production, written and duct taped together by Mike Monroney, History Coach, is a whirlwind trip through Aspen’s wild and irreverent history featuring Monroney, Nina Gabianelli and Travis McDiffett. Coming to a performance venue near you OR book the show for your special event or meeting.

Bike Tour

ABOUT THE TOUR
Originates at the Wheeler/Stallard Museum – 620 W. Bleeker (between 5th and 6th)

Enjoy a pleasant tour by bicycle that begins in Aspen’s Victorian West End, loops through the grounds of the Aspen Institute, and winds through town to the original Lift One.
