Join AHS at Aspen Mountain’s Gondola Plaza and hear stories of the area’s fast-paced past. An historical central meeting place, the general area was once home to the terminus of the Colorado Midland Railroad as well as the mining-era “Red Light District” before it became the skiing hub it remains today.
The History in Your Backyard series features short lunch-hour programs that explore the stories of familiar places in the Aspen area.
Meet at Gondola Plaza
This brief program takes place on sidewalks and pedestrian areas along Durant Ave.
